Larry Craig – What a bad republican..
Most republicans are all about taking off when you do something wrong. "Going quietly", as Jake called it. As such, I feel compelled to ask what exactly Larry Craig thinks he's doing? This morning, Larry Craig's attorney Billy Martin filed the papers necessary to withdraw Senator Larry Craig's guilty plea. Now I've been personally following this story since it broke initially but haven't really been interested. The guy screwed up, he apologized, and he agreed to resign. The tables somehow turned though, and now he's not guilty?
There is one simple component that seems to be missing from politics today, and Larry Craig is demonstrating a prime example simply by lacking it - Accountability. If a teenage Disney movie star can cop to taking nude photos that found their way public, surely a United States Senator can take accountability for breaking the law, specifically after admitting it and pleading guilty. Come on, is this guy serious? The math doesn't add up here! When are we going to start setting examples when it comes to accountability?
