I read in the news today that Leona Helmsley left a 12 million dollar trust fund when she passed away...TO HER DOG. What kind of society do we live in? Lets take a look at this fundamentally. DOGS CANNOT SPEND MONEY. This is so ridiculously ludicrous, that there really isn't anything to say. Trusts and Estates are regulated by our judicial system. We have probate courts...and they are filling out paperwork that gives money to a dog.
Do we really not have anything better to do with our lives? I believe that this woman gave a terrible name to losers who are obsessed with their pets, our already troubled court systems (thank you Mr. Gonzales), and her ridiculous family. The worst part is that the publicity this is getting (by myself included) will only perpetuate crap like this. I don't feel quite as guilty as CNN should because the likelihood that the 29 people who read this today will do something this outrageous is slim, but come on - Is this guy serious?
