You’ve probably already heard, but “The Rev” is at it again. And by At it, I mean saying ridiculous things that nobody cares about and then apologizing for them. As if it wasn’t bad enough that Jesse Jackson is the worst thing to happen to the black community since 5 syllable names that end with “ita”, he was recently caught on microphone saying that presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama was talking down to black people, and that The Rev wanted to “Cut his Nuts Off”.
When I first heard about Jesse Jackson’s ludicrous remarks I laughed and asked myself “Is This Guy Serious?”, but then I started to think about how great it is for Barack Obama that Jesse Jackson is doing things like this that alienate him from the Obama campaign. The more that people see Barack Obama isn’t interested in the likes of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, the better off he’ll end up in the long run. What kills me though is the hypocrisies spewed by these guys. Jesse Jackson stands on a soapbox all day delivering messages of tolerance, and as soon as he thinks nobody is listening he is spouting off vile and violent remarks. Sick.

Okay, here’s the wonderful news: Instead of searching all over the internet for the Chicken Littles who believe that the world is ending due to man-made global warming, we now know where to go to find them.
Al Gore’s PR machine has reached a new level with this website. With no facts pointing towards man’s involvement in climate change, WeCanChangeIt.org points to ‘empirical evidence’ that spans all of 150 years.
*Newsflash* The earth has been warming since the last ice age.
Probably what ticks me off the most about this site is the fact that the video equates climate change with the Civil Rights struggle, D-Day, and putting a man on the moon. Al Gore is beating a dead horse with the global warming line. It seems that every day someone is debunking the theory of man-made global warming further - Now the fear is global cooling. Go figure.

Missippi republican John Read hates fat people! Though at 5′11 and 230 he’s no olympian, Read is proposing a bill that would require restaurants to deny serving food to obese people. Though the bill gives no indication of what would be considered obese, it’s making a lot of people angry. Claiming that the bill is aimed at creating awareness of obesity, Read seems to have no problem making a mockery of the United States political system.
What I think perturbs a lot of people about things like this when they hear about it, is that we are paying taxes to give this guy a salary, so he can waste his time on silly nonsensical B.S. that doesn’t help anybody in any way. This seems to be a common trend in today’s politics, and it is so incredibly irritating that it is starting to feel like we can’t do anything about it. Guys like John Read, and many of the other wastes-of-space in politics today make everything so discouraging, because no matter who we vote for we get people pulling crap like this.

After reading a ridiculous opinion story written by “Ollie north” on Foxnews.com, I asked rhetorically “Why is Oliver North still alive?” My grandfather lovingly answered that “Only the Good Die Young”, to which we both shared a laugh. Reading Oliver North’s less than entertaining opinion about Vladmir Putin made me recount a visit from Oliver North to the college I went to, where we paid him something like $25,000 for a speaking engagement.
This was in 2002 before things were getting really bad in Iraq, and just as he loves to do now, Mr. North was giving us his opinion - something nobody asked for. He talked about how great it was that we were talking about going into Iraq, and spitting platitudes left and right about how the U.S. was the best country in the world, and how if we could make democracy work here we could make it work anywhere. What really struck me though was when he went on to explain to an auditorium full of students at a Catholic Liberal Arts college that the United States was the first country to ever use democracy.
When a freshman student who was as confused as everybody else in the room raised his hand and asked “But Col. North, wasn’t Democracy first tried and conceptualized in Ancient Greece?”, Ollie flipped out on the student, advising that he should check his facts before he challenged somebody as highly decorated as he was. The student’s response actually caused Col. North to become visibly pissed off, which was understandable considering that the student asked if the problems in the middle east now could be in any way correlated to his participation in the sale of weapons to Iran during the Iran Contraband scandal in the 80s.
Oh, Ollie. You’re so crazy!

I went to a private Catholic college, but unfortunately I was never molested by a nun. If Sister Norma Giannini had been teaching at my school though there is a better than likely chance I would have gotten felt up too! I write this because sister Giannini, a 79 year old nun, has been sentenced to a year in jail for the sexual assault of two boys who came out in 1996 accusing the nun of abusing them.
As unfortunate as this is, I can’t help but read news stories about people like her and feel enraged. I can’t remember the last time I got through the day without reading or hearing about somebody in a position of power who is supposed to be taking care of our children, doing the exact opposite and hurting them. Not being the kind of person who gets off on little children I have absolutely no idea what is going through these people’s minds, but it seems like it would stand to reason that there has to be some sort of indicators that things like this are happening. Really though, this is just getting sick.

54 year old Daniel Lorello who works for the New York Education Department has been arraigned on multiple criminal charges for stealing and selling hundreds of historic artifacts from the new York State Library, including the above signed 1823 letter from then Vice President John Calhoun. While I think most people can get behind stealing historic documents and artifacts, Mr. Lorello attempted to sell items on Ebay. (The letter fetched bids as high as $1,700)
In a search of Lorello’s home, officials found hundreds of stolen items. I don’t know why, but Lorello is pleading “Not guilty”. While nobody is sure exactly how much he has profited, it is believed that sales of Davy Crockett Almanacs alone fetched over $5,000, and that he’s made at least tens of thousands of dollars! Obviously we’re here to call people out, but even compared to the crap we post about Britney Spears this seems like odd behavior. Lorello’s job pays over $70,000.00 a year, which leads one to believe he’s at least reasonably intelligent…so how did he get caught with hundreds of stolen items? Sometimes it’s really hard not to be disappointed in humanity.

I feel the need to preface this post by explaining that nobody at ITGS advocates feigned patriotism, or over the top gestures that may really be nothing more than marketing gimmicks disguised as patriotism. Unfortunately Las Vegas judge Michael Villani is helping to perpetuate the ridiculous idea that such gestures are acceptable by not allowing a Las Vegas car dealership to fly an oversized American flag on a gigantic pole at the dealership. Clark County District Court Judge Michael Villani ruled that he would not allow the dealership to fly the flag because he felt it was a marketing gimmick.
I am, of course, doing what all sorts of people are doing by posting the story in blogs and on news stories (I found it at www.foxnews.com), but had the judge simply allowed the flag to be flown nobody would even know what was going on. Now outlets like Fox News are going to report on it, the judge will be vilified in the public eye as Anti-American, and sales will undoubtedly increase because the judge feels it’s the government’s place to have restrictions on flags flying at car dealerships. Seriously, why bother meddling in crap like this? It’s mystifying that we pay public officials to spend time on stuff like this!

Some people are idiots, plain and simple. Frank Kozumplik proved himself to be one of them when he was arrested and had his lawnmower confiscated after running out of wine and deciding that he could drive the lawnmower the 2 miles necessary to get to the liquor store. Arrested with a blood alcohol content of .20, Kozumplik explained to police that his wife had the car and the lawnmower was the only reasonable way for him to get to the liquor store.
Surely people are going to say “oh sad, he’s an alcoholic, look how desperate he is.” Then I have to say, “no, look how stupid he is” before we all chuckle and agree that Frank Kozumplik is a moron. While it’s both sad and distburbing that things like this are happening with increasing frequency, the saving grace is that he was arrested, and probably will be charged with driving under the influence. Though news reports haven’t mentioned, I don’t think it would be a shocker if this was a repeat offense for Frank.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I hate Dogg the Bounty hunter. Aside from being a complete tool, the guy has absolutely nothing to offer society. It still struck me as a bit odd though that Dogg’s brother, also in the show, was found by mall security guards without any pants on in his truck at a mall parking lot. Claiming that he spilled orange juice on his pants and was just changing, Chapman was arrested and then released shortly after.
As with most of the stuff we end up posting on this site, I found myself asking “Now you don’t catch average every day citizens in mall parking lots without pants very often…especially missing enough clothes to be arrested. So why is somebody in the public eye dumb enough to be caught doing it and arrested?” As with any other time I ask that question, I could not come up with a logical answer. All I could ask was “Is This guy Serious?”. Just because he’s a giant D-Bag, I’m really hoping that he has to register as a sex offender.

A Fullerton, California man was arrested this week and now faces a single count of Felony vandalism. The charge? Wilson acknowledged digging wholes in a bike trail as payback for almost being run down by a cyclist. Warren John Wilson is said to have dug more than 50 holes since June, some of which he tried to hide from bikers. While no major injuries have been reported, the holes were about 1 foot by 2 feet in size. Some riders did report going over their handlebars after hitting the holes.
As much as I advocate revenge in all forms, this one seems a bit excessive. Because one person on a mountain bike nearly ran him down, Wilson had no problem hurting anybody who happen to come across one of the holes he dug, including many children who reportedly ride the train. I don’t think there’s anybody who read this story without asking, “Come on, is this guy serious?”
